Paris-Nice stage 8 was raced aggressively, with the breakaway gradually brought back before the favourites lit up the finale. Jonas Vingegaard made the decisive move on the Côte du Linguador, with only Lenny Martinez able to follow. The pair quickly opened a gap and stayed clear into the final kilometres, while the chase fought behind for the remaining places. In the sprint, Martinez edged Vingegaard to take the stage win, while the Dane sealed the overall win. Dani Martínez held on to second in the final general classification, with Georg Steinhauser completing the podium.
