There, Felix Gall’s early attack split the favourites, but Antonio Tiberi passed him and went solo 4km from the line. With the favourites, leader Evenepoel got dropped, as Del Toro attacked, but the latter came too late: Tiberi secured both stage victory and the overall lead.
